so good...the intro is amazing especially
What beautifully clear and effective quartet writing. I'm very at home with Mr Kempton's harmonic language. Are you familiar with my 1st quartet over on Bartje Bartmans channel? I feel a real connection here. Thanks Nick and bravo Edward!
Hi Tom, thanks for your kind comments. Forgive my ignorance, as I had not listened to your string quartet "Käthe Kollwitz", but have just done so and enjoyed it immensely; some brilliant writing! I think string quartet and voice as an ensemble is incredibly underutilised
@@EdwardKempton Thanks so much for spending time with my work Edward. I really appreciate it. I’m looking forward to hearing lots more of your work. Let’s keep in touch!
Nice
Thank you for sharing!
Great string writing!!
I studied and performed w/ Fred at the Creative Music Studio. We performed his Attica piece. He was very supportive and a nice guy
Atrocious. Puts Tchaikovsky in a very bad light.
Beautiful!
My amateur quartet would enjoy playing these. How can I obtain a score?
wonderful
❤
3:29 to 3:34 is absolutely beautiful
I. Allegro comodo (0:00) II. Un poco allegretto (6:22) III. Presto (9:48) IV. Vigoroso (12:45) ***Adagio (15:17) ***I added Adagio because it's a major section, although its not an official movement
This work is a superb example of Expressionism. Dissonance is everywhere. We see angular melodic fragments in all voice parts and instruments, irregular rhythms with no sense of meter or pulse.
Original sound, I love mixing celesta and orch bells in my pieces.
Merci encore.
Love the major 7th chord at 0:44.
Thanks to Jenny Erpenbeck’s “Kairos” for directing me to this piece!
So peaceful at the beginning
Happy Independence Day everyone!
Now I am in 7th grade and going to play that piece.
3:00 sounds like the tail-end of Agon, before the fanfare. Anyone else hear it?
16:09 ravel string quartet 4th movement
0:05 I. 3:19 II.
Genialna muzyka w swej prostocie, wydobyta z głębi organowych możliwości

Starving children poor? You tubes got fall instead of poor, now u no what i mean guess we need lakes interpretation off many words what we all think maybe not rite either way lake is the original one and only one who no's!
Reading n playing off sheet music i like but it made me dizzy so i play by ear its just easier that way
Now u no why im having a problem with words is it brass or grass maybe we should ask lake im sure he no's the exact words sheet or no sheet you tube or no you tube no1 no's the difference unless ur a pro anyway theres never another elp evolving anytime soon surely we all no thats not gonna happen again this life or next lifetime we lost2greats every1should no that consider elp wasn't ranked higher is dead wrong dont no what#they were polled in at but make no mistakes they rank high
Now i no why i couldnt read past6/4thats the note with the dot on it,its easy2play by ear maybe im blessed in a sense not many can play by ear either way elp aint so easy
Saw the words beforehand guess the page isnt big enough no problem its quite different seeing sheet music it takes u back2old school the way it was back n day some folks still rely on it cause they cant play by ear either way what i think or say means not much playing any music sums it!
What gets me is reading sheet music while playing it is great except4those who play by ear that cant read any sheet music at all
This n pictures is incredible probably their best only they no whats playing around or all out with sheet music or not i always thought words off sheet music is correct but later on off this you tube words dont seem the same as what was before!
8:23 Composer try to play something that isn't cool, beautiful, and epic all at once in E major challenge degree of difficulty level impossible???
The recording is lacking in quality. But the performers are most exquisite and the music of Rosza is exemplary of course. It's interplay between cello and violin is wonderfully executed. I love the harmonic language of Miklos Rosza .

Well constructed, but insipid and ultimately forgettable. The musical equivalent of a sturdy post office.
One of the blind lemmings from the hacking pecker nose Martin Brodel clown cult sent me to this non sense.
Wonderful!
